Getting Started with T-Pro Sync

Transcriber role => This article describes your options when working with T-Pro Sync.

T-Pro Sync is an application that runs on your computer and allows you to upload external recordings, e.g. dictaphone files, to T-Pro for further processing.

Supported audio file formats are:

  • .mp3
    .m4a
    .wav
    .wma
    .ogg
    .dss
    .ds2
    .caf
    .opus
  • additionally .txt & .csv files can be uploaded

You can set up this process for several authors.

  • The installation file will be provided by T-Pro along with your login credentials.

Starting T-Pro Sync

  1. Open the application via the desktop icon.

 

2. Enter your user name and password at the login screen.

=> The application opens and you have to connect the folder(s) containing the dictation files to the application.

3. Just drag and drop a folder onto the application window.

First time use

  1. Each folder needs to be set up for a particular author. You do this in the window Add User Folder.

2. Select the relevant author from the dropdown list and CONFIRM.

 

=> The default author for this folder has been set and is displayed at the bottom of the screen.

Setting up additional folders

After the first time setup you can add more folders via the MANAGE FOLDERS button at the top left side.

Each time you will have to link a default author to your new folder.

  1. In the window Manage Folders click on ADD.

  2. Select the relevant author for the new folder.

  3. Confirm and browse to the new folder you want to select.

  4. Repeat those steps for each new folder.

  5. Click on SAVE to close this window.

=> Each new folder is displayed in the Folder section.

=> In the main window additional folders are displayed at the bottom of the window.

  • Use the arrow to the right to open a folder and view its content.

  • Use the scroll bar of the window to navigate to additional folders.

Uploading files

  1. Select all files of a folder with a checkmark at the top of the list.

  2. Click on Upload.

=> As you upload each file they will be removed from the T-Pro Sync application to avoid uploading the same file twice.

  • To Logout use the button in the upper right corner .

  • You can always close the T-Pro Sync window via the taskbar.
