How to Use Copy-Forward on a Task

Author => This article tells you how to recognise the option copy-forward in a task.

When you create a new task some fields can be filled in automatically, using content from the same patient's previous completed task.
This is called Copy-forward.

=> When a new task is created, T-Pro looks for the most recent completed task for that patient that matches the chosen source.

Use case: Patient History

Copy-forward works best for content that doesn't usually change between tasks, e.g. the field Patient History. Once it's captured on a completed task, it can carry forward to later tasks for that patient, so it doesn't need to be re-entered each time.

NOTE: A copied field replaces its previous content completely rather than merging with it, and should always still be checked before the task is completed.

Setting it up

Copy-forward is configured per field on the template by an admin who manages templates. It isn't something an author turns on.

=> Ask your manager to enable it on the relevant template.
