FAQs around the Offline Mode for Consultations
For Scribe Mobile
Will I lose my consultation if my internet connection drops?
- You can continue recording. Consultation data that still needs to be uploaded is securely retained on your mobile device so it can be uploaded when you reconnect.
How many consultations can I record while offline?
-
You do not have to wait for one consultation to upload before starting the next. Saved consultations are shown under Encounters saved locally until they can be uploaded.
Do I need to manually upload my recordings?
- You do not need to export or transfer recording files yourself. Once you have a connection again, open T-Pro so your locally saved encounters can begin uploading.
Can I see an offline encounter on the web app?
-
Not while it exists only on your mobile device. Once the encounter has uploaded and finished processing, it becomes available through the normal connected T-Pro experience.
Can I create documents while offline?
-
You can select the document templates you want when you finish your Consultation. The documents themselves are generated once the encounter has uploaded and T-Pro is connected.
Can I use Dictation offline?
-
No. Offline Mode currently supports Consultations only.
Why does my schedule show a “last updated” time?
-
When you are offline, T-Pro cannot retrieve live schedule changes. The timestamp helps you see when the schedule information available on your device was last refreshed.
What happens after my offline encounter has uploaded?
-
It becomes a normal T-Pro encounter. You can review and work with it in the same way as a consultation that was recorded while online.
How is the data stored locally?
- The consultation audio is stored in a encrypted and compressed format on your device. This increases security and decreases local storage usage.
